What makes setup easier
A key advantage of our systems is optimized operation for maximum efficiency. This is achieved through a combination of right-sized components, optimized cooling for stable operating temperature, and an in-house developed Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that manages the system for reliable performance.
The pre-assembled, single-unit design minimizes installation time and supports proper component configuration from the start. That makes the system especially useful for projects where space and weight matter, without compromising propulsion performance.
Best fit
An option for retrofit work, new builds, and installations where compact system design and simplified commissioning matter.
Configuration options
Our systems feature a built-in thrust bearing, allowing for direct shaft mounting and direct-drive use out of the box. For applications that need different output RPM and torque, the same system is also compatible with various marine gearboxes.
Multiple-motor support
The design also supports multiple-motor installations, increasing total propulsion power for more demanding applications. A quadruple setup can provide up to 1800 kW (2400 HP), or more if necessary.

Vibration isolation
NT Systems propulsion units already include prepared mounting points and Isoflex engine mounts. Isoflex products are well known for their performance and longevity, thanks to their resistance to fuels, oils, and water. Flexible gearbox couplings are also available and can be specified according to the project's driveline configuration.

Flexible gearbox couplings help absorb driveline misalignment and protect bearings and gearbox components in demanding marine installations.
Official EU distributor
NT Systems partnered with Isoflex Technologies, a leading manufacturer of marine and industrial vibration isolation products, to become the official EU distributor. We support product selection for propulsion projects, refits, and standalone marine or industrial applications.

FAQ
Practical answers about configuration, installation scope, and system integration around the propulsion unit.
No. NT Systems propulsion can be integrated in leisure and professional applications, for both slow and fast boats using direct-drive or gearbox-based versions, and for both retrofit and newbuild projects, depending on vessel requirements and available space.
Early involvement is strongly recommended, especially for retrofit packaging and cooling planning. Earlier alignment usually shortens integration time and reduces redesign risk.
It includes an electric motor with a built-in thrust bearing, motor controller/inverter, electronic control unit (ECU), cooling system with heat exchangers, pumps, water strainer, and flow-through expansion tank, electrical and water connectors, frame, and Isoflex engine mounts.
Selection is based on required continuous power, vessel displacement and hull behavior, duty cycle, available installation space, cooling concept, and target propeller-shaft RPM (which defines direct drive or gearbox configuration).
The propulsion range supports both direct-drive and gearbox-based configurations. Read “How do I choose the right propulsion model?” to learn what defines the right model for your vessel.
Yes. Multiple-motor configurations are supported to scale total propulsion power. Depending on setup, quadruple installations can reach around 1800 kW (2400 HP) or more.
Yes. Safety lanyard is included in the system and is integrated with every motor. The safety lanyard function can be activated and used where required, and is strongly recommended for vessel profiles where immediate propulsion shutdown is an important safety requirement.
We can provide different battery types, including type-approved options where required. If preferred, we can also integrate client-selected batteries, provided that battery data, BMS communication details, and protection requirements are available to us.
Depending on the cooling system configuration, the vessel may be operated throughout the year or may require winterization during longer periods of non-use or low-temperature conditions. In such cases, the external cooling circuit should be flushed and protected with the correct coolant/antifreeze mixture according to the service guidance.
